BRUINS GRAB FOUR POINTS IN VERMONT

BURLINGTON, VT-The EJHL Junior Bruins went up to Vermont to take on the Green Mountain Glades in two games and won both. The Bruins won 5-3 on Saturday night and 3-2 on Sunday morning.
In Saturday's game the Bruins would be trailing 2-0 entering the third and scored five goals to win. The B's would scored first in the third, only to go down 3-1 before scoring four unanswered goals on route to the victory. Zach Luczyk started the B's come back at 8:33 in the period as he scored his first EJHL goal. Joe Pendenza would tie the game on the power play with seven minutes left. Jesse Root scored the game-winner two minutes later and Justin Breton would add the empty-netter with 36 seconds left to give the B's a great come from behind victory. TJ Massie was solid in net making 29 saves.
Sunday the Bruins scored a late goal to win 3-2. Colin Downey scored the B's first goal on the power play seven minutes into the first period as he put home a rebound off a shot by Colin Shea. The Glades would score a 1:39 later to tie the game. Breton scored the B's second goal on a great individual effort with less than two minutes left in the first giving the Bruins the lead entering the locker room. The Glades would score the lone goal in the second to send the game into the third tied at two. There was no scoring in the final frame until Brad Peltz put home the game-winner with 1:21 left in the game on a great shot from the slot. Kenneth MacLean was solid in between the pipes making 27 saves in route to his 12 win.
The win gave the B's the sweep and four big points as they fight to keep the second spot in the Northern Division improving their league record to 20-11-4. The next game for the Bruins is Wednesday night as they head to Haverhill to face the Valley Jr. Warriors.
